Key Duties and Responsibilities

Qualifications and Requirements for VA Engineering Jobs

Education
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Biomedical) or Architecture from an accredited institution
- OR passing the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam
- OR current Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA) licensure
Experience by Grade

- GS-9: 1 year at GS-7 level or Master’s degree equivalent
- GS-11: 1 year at GS-9 level or Ph.D./equivalent graduate education
